On the 6th of July, Gunnersbury Park was filled with probably one of the most chilled vibes we've ever seen at a festival. R&B lovers joined together in West London to see a handful of rising and well established musicians making waves in the R&B scene such as SiR, Alex Isley, Destin Conrad, Ambre, Shae Universe, Tone Stith and the amazing Jazmine Sullivan who performed for the first time in 10 years.
With DLT making moves in the past year with their hugely successful DLT Brunch brunches in seven countries, The Recipe promised unlimited food as well as drinks supplied by Wray & Nephew, including their signature rum punch that they sold during the day. Alongside Wray's appearance, they also provided Wray's Lounge with it's own DJ to elevate the chill experience.
Fit with an ASOS beach club, festival rides and a tooth gem station, the food selection was almost unlimited, featuring a basque cheesecake station, fresh pizza, donuts and churros as well as a selection Caribbean and African dishes. The VIP area was fitted with table service and a shisha station which sheltered a lot of people from the on and off showers of rain.
Reaching its peak, the performances tied the experience together. With Jazmine closing the festival, she blew us away in an emotional and powerful performance, showcasing classics from all her eras. DLT: The Recipe was a huge success and we can't wait to see their next endeavour.
