What Went Down At The Cloud X Festival 2022

After its sold out first show last year, Cloud X Festival returned to East London's Studio 338 for yet another incredible festival in the glorious 28º British sunshine on the 7th of August. Hosting a dazzling lineup of some of the biggest voices within the UK alternative scene, we were able to mosh to FelixThe1st, bounce to Scuti and get into our feelings with Sasha Keable all in one day.

In partnership with Raw Materials, a charity that helps develop rising talent and helps them to break into the industry, New Wave Magazine was able to form a creative partnership with Cloud X for an intimate and homegrown day with some of the UK's future voices who are making waves within the music industry. With a multitude of genres from all talents as well as DJ sets from Jojo and Spinall, there wasn't one person standing still as the drinks were flowing and impeccable vibes trickling through to all corners of the venue.

With the garden bustling with chatter and jubilation as we jived to the sounds of special guest DJ Soulection, the indoor stage saw NiNE8 songstress and rapper NAYANA IZ perform her explosive 'TNT' as well as the bubbly Biig Piig grace the crowd with a collection of specially curated tunes. To switch up the vibe and provide soulful jams and iconic hazy riffs was none other than Santino Le Saint with his mint green guitar, meticulously plucking out classics such as 'Bullet With My Name On It'. Blessing the crowd with his electric presence was none other than the sensational Sam Wise who had the crowd jumping throughout his performance and further solidified his status with his ridiculously passionate stage presence.

With the atmosphere certainly unmatched and the night ending on a high, we have a feeling that festival-goers are most definitely waiting for their Cloud X Festival 2023 announcement email to ping through.
